Armin Jozef Jacobus Daniël van Buuren je holandský DJ a hudobný producent. Od roku 2001 moderuje týždennú rozhlasovú reláciu A State of Trance (ASOT), ktorá je vysielaná pre takmer 40 miliónov poslucháčov v 84 krajinách na viac ako 100 rádiových staniciach FM. Podľa webovej stránky DJs and Festivals ho „rozhlasová šou vyniesla k sláve a pomohla kultivovať záujem o trance hudbu na celom svete“. Van Buuren získal množstvo ocenení. DJ Mag ho päťkrát, štyri roky po sebe, zaradil medzi DJ-ov číslo jeden. V roku 2022 sa umiestnil na piatom mieste v zozname DJ Mag Top 100 DJs, ako aj na štvrtom mieste v rokoch 2015, 2016, 2019 a 2020 a na treťom mieste v roku 2017. V roku 2014 bol nominovaný na cenu Grammy za najlepšiu tanečnú nahrávku za svoj singel „This Is What It Feels Like“ s Trevorom Guthriem, čo z neho robí štvrtého trance umelca, ktorý kedy získal nomináciu na cenu Grammy.
